Stone Enjoy By sends one clear message; there is no better time to drink this beer than right now. While hops have preservative properties it’s not the point of this beer, the hops flavor and aroma is what it’s all about and the longer an IPA sits the more those features deteriorate. Enjoy by is dated so you know the bottle you just purchased is fresh , the hops flavor and aroma are big and in your face, just like the brewer intended.

Enjoy By is a very clear beer, golden colored with steady visible carbonation and a fluffy white head that left lacing down the glass.

Picking up some light caramel sweetness in the nose but mostly dominated by the very floral hops aroma. The hops aroma is very complex in this double IPA, I’m getting pine, earth, fresh cut grass up front then a big juicy tropical fruit burst, Mango, grapefruit and even some pineapple. Loving the way this beer smells, it just makes me smile.

This is a tasty brew, not overly malty, caramel and toasted grains but the hops are the story here. Piney, grassy hops up front followed right up with grapefruit, lemon, pineapple, the alcohol is noticeable in the flavor but blends well. The bitterness in this beer is pleasant, not a palate wrecker by any means, the hops are big in flavor and aroma.

Overall an excellent double IPA, packed with fresh hop flavor. I’ve never been disappointed with an IPA from Stone and Enjoy By met and exceeded my expectations. This is a beer you hop heads will want to find and try while it’s still available.

Cheers!
