14th Star Valor Ale on Pushaw Lake, Maine

14th Star’s flagship beer,Valor Ale pours a hazy orange-amber color with gold highlights; pour raised a thin white head.

Smells of fresh cut grass, an earthy, leafy aroma, toasted grains and a touch of citrus.

Flavorful amber ale, toasted grains, bready, nice medium body, hops are prominent but not dominating, slightly grassy, with some citrus notes at the tail end of the taste.

Overall a nice drinking amber, hops are very flavorful but not overwhelming, this would be an all-around drinker for me, whether a sunny day at the lake or a cool fall evening. Unfortunately this beer is not available in Maine but i’ll definitly be stopping in for more next time i’m in the area.

This Memorial Day we at If My Coaster Could Talk raise a glass to those men and women, Past, Present and Future, who serve this Country bravely.

Cheers!
