The first offering from Maine’s newest Brewery out if Limerick Maine, Gneiss Weiss is brewed with a wheat heavy grain bill and American hops.

Poured a cloudy yellow-gold with a pristine white head.

Smells of wheat, banana and cloves, a very traditional Hefeweizen aroma.

Gneiss Weisse has a nice wheat flavor, bready malt body with a hint of fruity banana flavor and just a touch of clove spiciness. This beer has a full body with a slightly creamy mouthfeel and the finish is crisp and clean.

Overall an impressive first offering from the boys in Limerick, this easy drinking, sessionable Weiss beer is one I’d recommend to anyone, even if they aren’t craft beer fans. I would also add that this will be a very refreshing beer on a hot summer day.

Cheers
