Dogfish Head Brewing “A Moveable Feast” to finish in Maine this July.

Some may not know that the Dogfish Head Brewery in Delaware has ties to Maine. The name Dogfish Head in fact came from the area of Maine that Sam Calagione, Dogfish Head’s Founder and President spent summers as a kid.

On July 1st, 2014, Sam Calagione and his son Sammy will be arriving in Dogfish Head, Maine via 19 foot Boston Whaler. Sam will then be hosting a multi-course beer dinner in Portland, Maine at In’finiti Fermentation & Distillation.

The trip is in celebration of the newly opened Dogfish Inn and will be raising money and awareness for The Nature Conservancy. Dogfish Head will donate $2,000 to The Nature Conservancy for each stop along the trip. The trip also includes stops along the way that allow Sam and Sammy to enjoy some of the Coastal properties that are protected by The Nature Conservancy.
