Mast Landing Brewing Co. opening in Westbrook

I meet a lot of people with big dreams in Maine, aspiring brewers around every corner and when it’s all said and done only a couple have actually seen those dreams come to fruition. Last summer at the Maine Brewers Guild Summer Session brewfest I met one of those brewers, Ian Dorsey and a group of friends all wearing T-shirts for his future brewery and they were very excited. I had a glimmer of hope for this group, they had the energy but I had no idea if they had the means to navigate from dream to functioning brewery.

As it turns out, they did.

After meeting at the brewfest I liked Mast Landing Brewing Company on Facebook and have been watching their progress, equipment and kegs arriving, the bar being built, preparing furniture and painting their logo on the wall of their tasting room and of course their first brewday.

The tasting room is complete, the beer is ready and Mast Landing is ready for visitors. On Friday, March 4th 2016 from 3-8pm, Mast Landing Brewing Company will be opening its doors for the first time with 3 beers on tap. Seavey Island Ale, Tell Tale pale ale and Mainstay IPA. They will be offering 5 oz and 10 oz samples at $2.50 and $5 respectively. Beer to go will not be available until April.

Mast Landing is currently running an Indigogo campaign to raise funds for a Crowler Seamer, cans and label design work. For those who don’t know a Crowler is a larger aluminum can that can be filled and sealed for beer to go in place of a glass growler. The campaign is close to half funded and only has a few days remaining, if you are interested in supporting the campaign I’m sure the crew at Mast Landing Brewing would be appreciative.

Mast Landing Brewing Company is located at 920 Main Street in Westbrook, Maine. The tasting room will be open on Fridays from 3-8pm and Saturdays 12-8pm.

Cheers,
